Where, When & Why...
Barclays MoonTrekker features three distances - Moonlit 30, Sunrise 40 and, new in 2018, the Phoenix 50. The races begin on a Friday evening in Mui Wo, on Lantau Island and finish on a stunning beach side venue by Cheung Sha beach. The Phoenix 50 starts at 20:10, the Sunrise 40 at 20:30 and the Moonlit 30 at 23:00.
Finish line: Here you will have access to drinks, food, toilets and very basic showers. Dedicated mini-buses will take you back to Tung Chung MTR station until approximately 09:00 on Saturday morning (regular Lantau public bus services begins at about 06:00).
Barclays MoonTrekker is Hong Kong's leading night hiking/running event that delivers a fantastic experience and is a major fundraiser for our nominated charity, The Nature Conservancy (TNC). We have a unique 'two step' registration process. Firstly, participants must register and pay their entry fee to secure their place in the race (this is what we use to stage the event), once this is done, they are required to raise a minimum sponsorship amount (HK$650pp) via SimplyGiving (online donation platform) which will be collected by TNC directly at the race-pack collection day (on the 21st September, 2019).
Entries: You may enter a solo, pair, team of 4 or a corporate team of 4. Multiple teams can fundraise under one banner - the Corporate Cup.
